Ordered Suppressed: “The Other Cold War”

Even when the truth is in their face no one wants to hear it.

Cold War heritage

As usual, the biggest story in America is suppression of news. There has never been a time when the media has taken such an aggressive position, not even after 9/11. It’s more than Ukraine or Syria.

The US has not only outraged Russia and China but other nations that were once afraid of the US are now ready to hit back. The simplest way to go after the US is to release classified intelligence showing the US as an aggressor nation or worse, a dupe, violent, dangerous and uncaring.

We forget what it was like, the carefully orchestrated orgy of hate after the nuclear demolition of the WTC and the missile attack on the Pentagon. This is one of many shameful moments in American history, where a nation abandoned common sense and backed a gang of traitors whose common purpose, all can see now, was and is the destruction of the United States and “her freedoms.”

We have, for the first time, national intelligence agencies leaking aging but high-value material. It is clear why. There is a real anger at the hypocrisy of the gang running the United States and divulging intelligence that Wikileaks and Snowden are unwilling or unable to deal with, particularly as they seem to be “joined at the hip” with the mainstream media, is a way of “stirring the pot.”

Xi Urges Greater Innovation in ‘Core Technologies’

China is leading but so is YOUR site.

The key to any country is seizing the day of new technology and innovation. Too few governments realize this.

The New York Times

Even when President Xi Jinping of China urges his country’s scientists to blaze a trail into the future, he dwells on the defeats and humiliations of the past.

On Monday, Mr. Xi delivered his biggest speech on science and technology since becoming national leader and gave fresh urgency to demands that China master and control the new technologies that, he said, will decide the global economic and political winners and losers of coming decades. And he pointed to China’s past as a victim of invasion and subjugation as a lesson in the price of scientific backwardness.

“Only if core technologies are in our own hands can we truly hold the initiative in competition and development,” Mr. Xi said at a meeting of senior Chinese scientists and engineers, according to an official transcript in the People’s Daily newspaper on Tuesday. “Only then can we fundamentally ensure our national economic security, defense security and other aspects of security. We cannot always dress up other people’s yesterdays as our own tomorrows.”

The Chinese Communist Party’s policy of actively encouraging what it calls “indigenous innovation” goes back almost 20 years to Jiang Zemin, who was president then. And Deng Xiaoping, the party patriarch who championed economic rejuvenation from the late 1970s, stressed science and technology in his reforms. But Mr. Xi’s emphasis on the race for technological leadership has gone hand in hand with Chinese government accusations that foreign technology companies serve as tools of Western subversion and espionage.

Mobile phone effect on fertility - 'research needed'

Protect the Family Jewels Guys!

More studies are needed into the risks of mobile phones on sperm counts, warn researchers.

A review of the evidence, by the University of Exeter, suggested sperm number and movement were affected by keeping mobile phones in pockets.

However, one sperm scientist said the evidence was still too sketchy and his phone was staying in his pocket.

The study, published in the journal Environment International, suggested electromagnetic radiation was to blame.

It analysed 10 separate studies on sperm quality involving 1,492 men. These included laboratory tests on sperm exposed to mobile phone radiation and questionnaires of men at fertility clinics.

ROMEPope Francis took another step in his drive to clean up finances at the Holy See after years of scandals by naming international experts to the board of the Vatican's financial watchdog agency, replacing an all-Italian panel.

The Vatican said the pope, the first non-European pontiff in about 1,400 years, named the four experts to the board of the Financial Information Authority, or AIF, which is the regulator overseeing the Holy See's financial institutions. Their term lasts for five years.

The four new board members, which for the first time includes a woman, are from Italy, Singapore and the U.S., as well as Franco-German national.

They replaced an all-Italian board made up of five members that had been named by Pope Benedict XVI in 2011. The old board was associated with the financial establishment tied to Pope Francis' predecessor.
